Can we know how high, how long, how wide, and how deep the love of God is? No. The love of God is unfathomable. We know a scrap of dust about love. The Cross was Love. Was it enough for me? A sinner galore? Or does my wicked heart doubt His sufficient grace even still? It would seem my bent to sin takes some challenge to exhaust His patience. I am cleansed of yesterdays sin...but what about today and tomorrows sins? What about the addiction waiting for me that I have idolized and worshipped for 30 years? Will I suddenly have victory? Or the lust of my flesh desiring perpetual comfort? Will today and tomorrow ignite my slumber of self satisfaction? Or how about a win against the call of irritable inconveniences and my short temper---ever ready to create molehill mountain?  Am I to win against myself today? Tomorrow? Or am I to Try. Again. Anyway. And put my full faith and confidence in the One who assured me all gaps were filled with His shed blood ... for my narcissistic sake. How great is His love?
